St. Andrews Island

This rugged beautiful Island sits serenely at the Southern part of the Ragged Island chain in the Bahamas about 220 miles Southwest of Nassau. It is one of the largest privately-owned islands in the Bahamas comprising around 720 acres. With elevations up to 40 feet and an abundance of fresh water it is surrounded by pristine beaches and sand bars with abundant wild life and pink flamingos and unparalleled flats which are ideal for bonefishing. This area is a haven for fishermen and the fishing and diving in the Ragged Island chain are world class. Arriving by private plane at the airstrip on Ragged Island it is a 10 minute boat ride from the dock in Duncan Town across the cut to St. Andrews Island. This close support also encourages future development and access to power and supplies through Ragged Island. There is deep water on the Eastern side of the island and fresh water and a freshwater spring. There are many large interior ponds some with sea access and construction of a protected marina would be a possibility.
